The start of a new month.
  I wait to hear from you,
nothing for me
  I am bedridden.
  At last, your second post card
  dated the 31st. But
  let's not get discouraged.
  I often think of you.
  Still nothing, I wait.
  Willie brought me a package.
  Nothing, I was scared
  And thought of you.
  I still could not go out,
  I am sad and weary
  What a joy this will be
  For you and me.
  You’ll know I am safe,
  And you?
  Still nothing
  How I would love to hear
  From you.
  Only if the war would
  Soon end…
